Braga's Offer for Rikelme Rejected by Cuiabá

The president of Cuiabá, Cristiano Dresch, confirmed yesterday that SC Braga made an informal offer for left-back Rikelme, but the amount fell short of what the Brazilian club was expecting, putting an end to the deal. According to Globoesporte, the requested amount is around €4 million.

'A representative from SC Braga was in Cuiabá and saw Rikelme. They didn't formalize the proposal, but sent it informally. We found it to be very low, and we don't believe they will reach the value we expect,' said Cristiano Dresch, in statements to Globoesporte.

Rikelme, who is under contract until 2025, made a name for himself this year in Cuiabá's first team, coached by Portuguese manager António Oliveira, with 36 matches, one goal, and two assists.
